Up and Up tax and general questions for CA landlords

I live in Orange County, California and have a VRBO property in Hawaii.  I have all the rules and regulations down for Hawaii.  We have a second property that we own in Orange County.  Our long term renter is moving out and we are considering turning this 3 bedroom condo into a VRBO rental.  Does anyone out there do this in the OC?  I have called the city (Rancho Santa Margarita) and they have no stipulations.  I am checking with the CC & R's of the condo association and I believe there is a 30 day minimum rental period.  I need to check with the County for taxes etc.   I have checked with VRBO and  they have advised me to check with my local governing agencies, as expected. I was just wondering if anyone had any insight into tax stipulations or anything else I may want to check into in Orange County, California.  Thank you.
