I received an email from a HomeAway programming team. The email included a screenshot of the webpage that I complained about, and the checkbox that I could not see before was clearly visible on the screenshot.
I sincerely hope that this webpage has indeed been corrected and that no one else who has issues with their eyesight or viewing webpages that are in a hard to see gray (or are not friendly for persons who are color-blind) will see an improvement while viewing the HomeAway website.
