Aloha! If you live in Hawaii, we'd like to buy you breakfast!
Please join us on Monday morning, December 12, 2016 in Waikiki at Bills Hawaii as we begin to resurrect our local community meet-up program. This is part of a new effort to help you connect with each other and exchange ideas on improving your business, and to discuss how we can best support the broader VR community in Honolulu. We are also looking for your input and support in hosting similar meet-ups on an ongoing basis starting in 2017.
Since a few members of our HomeAway Team will be participating in the Hawaii Life VR Pro Day on Oahu, we wanted to take this opportunity to meet with a few of our property owners and managers before flying back to the mainland. As you may have seen from some of the reports from property owners about our Seattle Summit such as this one from vrrentcamerathis one from @VRRentCamera, we are investing more effort and energy into reviving our community initiatives.
Perhaps you participated in one of our Happy Hours a couple of years ago? This is a renewal of that effort being led by HomeAway’s Ecosystem Architect, Chris Heuer, who will be hosting this gathering of our ohana. Chris was the original global founder of Social Media Club which hosts similar meet-ups, across the islands and around the world, where professionals meet and work to grow their knowledge and their business together. You may have met or seen Chris previously speaking at one of the Hawaii Social Media Summits.
As a first step to reignite our local community efforts, he wants to meet with and hear from you about what you need, what interests you and how you might be willing to support similar meet-ups on an ongoing basis.
We are buying you breakfast.
We will not be giving a sales presentation.
Please RSVP by Friday December 9, 2016 so we can have an accurate headcount for seating and do please let us know if you RSVP and then are unable to attend.
We are seeking your input on how we might better support you locally with similar meet-ups in the future. We's like your help in shaping future meetup programming like this.
Chris is new to HomeAway and will not be able to answer every question, but will facilitate connections for you with the proper people who can answer them if they are not answered by other community members in attendance.
