Renter couldn't respond to my email after inquiry, went to an owner's page?

I got an inquiry through vrbo last night. I responded like I always do, through gmail as a reply to the inquiry. This morning I had another inquiry from the same renter saying that she tried to respond back to my message but got this page:
I tried to respond directly from the email you sent back to me, but it goes to an "owner" sign in page.
Is this a glitch on her part? Anyone else having this problem? Is this part of the new secure communications? If so, why would she go to an owner's page as a renter?

This is what I think could have happened.
When an owner gets an inquiry it is in HTML format with an orange reply button (which leads to an owner login). If you want to reply through HA you click on that box, login and reply.
If you reply through your email program that button can show up under your response (or as a live link if you switch to plain text). I think that's what she clicked.
I usually switch to plain text and delete all the HA junk, including that reply link.

Yes, we too always delete all the inquiry images, texts and links intended for the owner before submitting our reply.
