I am a massive fan of U.K. coastal holiday lets, having had a great deal of success with our two houses ... one at Camber Sands, East Sussex and the other at Portland, Dorset.
I believe that holiday lets are one of the growth areas of U.K. property investment, due to many factors, mainly the economic climate and people choosing to holiday at home.
However, that does not mean that any holiday let you buy is an automatic success.
There is a guest blog on this topic on Property 118 >>>here.
To summarise, the 5 "signposts" were:
1. Within two hours drive of a major city.
2. Close to a great beach.
3. A programme of year round events in the area.
4. Fine dining options.
5. Weather.
The blog was focussed on how the East Sussex coast ticks these boxes ... and my personal experience concurs with that.
Are you looking to buy more holiday lets? If so, where are you looking, and why?
