Verona is not just the balcony of Juliet's house. For sure Shakespeare with his tragedy Romeo and Juliet created a lot of interest on Verona, for sure one of the most beutiful italian cities. Verona is 4th italian historical city as importance, only after Rome, Venice and Florence.
It's a small city full of art and with a very typical way of life, in fact, it is less touristic than other main italian destinations in Italy.
One of the most famous things of Verona is the Opera season that every summer take place in the Arena, a roman Amphiteather that is one of the most well maintained.
Now, I want to suggest you a few things you can see in this fascinating city. You can get more info from my personal blog about Verona, the first of the city entirely in English: Holiday Verona.
If you need some typical place to stay, an accommodation "like a local," you can contact me, I'll be happy to give you advices (for free) and if you need an accommodation, I can help you too (some of my properties are also on Homeaway with guests's reviews)..
