There must be a simple answer for this, but I have already spent a couple of hours trying to figure it out!! I note that some of you have nice FaceBook page logo for your personal website that linkes directly to your VR Facebook page. I don't want a "like" button although I found plenty of info on that in the social plugin info.
gmajay,
Check out this area over on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/badges/

Thanks--I saw this, but it is not exactly what I wantl. Here is a link to a lovely website that has just the logo http://www.vacationhomeinbranson.com/
I like the nice clean inobtrusive look. How is that done?
Ah, I see.
Well, if you are comfortable with coding HTML, you can do what this site did:
<a href="http://www.facebook.com/YOUR-PAGE-HERE" target="_blank"><img src="images/facebook.png" width="34" height="34" alt="facebook" /></a>
You just need to add that snippet to the page(s) on your site where you want the Facebook icon to appear. Just change the "YOUR-PAGE-HERE" to be whatever your page's URL is.
The site you mentioned has a DIV that contains 3 icons. The snippet above just refers to the Facebook icon. They also host the facebook.png file locally on their site in an images directory, so head's up on that.

gmajay,
Simple explanation is that I uploaded a Facebook icon to my site, placed it, and then linked it to my Facebook page. There are many, many different styles of icons out there - search "social media icons" and pick the one you like.

Can one link one's vrbo listing to a facebook page, or are you talking only about linking FB to your separate website? Thanks. I'm new too and trying to figure it all out...thanks.
Hi f-a-h, My question had to do with posting an image on my personal website. I forwarded the response to the person who designed and updates my webpage as he seemed unable to perform this--or didn't WANT to--I'm not sure which.
At any rate, if he doesn't work out , I will try this on my own down the road.
Thanks for the responses.

Gmajay,
Looking at your link to the the branson home, it sounds like you want to have a simple facebook logo that links to your Facebook Fan page like this? http://www.webchalet.com/why/add-social-networks-pm
