I'm new to VRBO with our 1 newly-ready vacation property up for less than a week on the site. I restarted the visits counter 3 days ago and have about 100 visits so far. No inquiries.
Is this typical? Or is it telling me something about my rates?
There is a multi-week event coming up this summer that (I am told) draws 2x higher rents than normal, so that's where I've set them.
Thanks!
Hi Trackerdave,
First, welcome to VRBO, and thanks for joining Community. I'm sure other members will chime in, but while you wait, there are a few related threads on Community that I thought you might find helpful: Ratio of Inquiries to Bookings, More than Usual Inquiries but no Bookings, and How Fast You Answer Inquiries.
Thanks again, and hope this info is useful.
Good luck renting,

Sorry to hear you are not getting rentals or enough views. Some people report getting one inquiry every 30-75 views, you are much lower than that.
Hre a few tips to increase inquiries and improve sales:

Hi Trackerdave,
Our rental is on Martha's Vineyard so it is very seasonal. This year I have found people have waited until the very last minute to book. I have gotten over 1,940 hits to all my sites with only a total of 12 rentals. I've had more people looking for long weekends rather than full weeks. It could be the economy also. Hope this helps a little. Minime
I think it is a ratio of how much competition you have. We get anywhere from 6 - 15 visits per day. But we have found that we only get one inquiry out of 100 visits. So don't panic. Out of the inquiries we book one out of every 5. So one booking out of 500 inquiries . If you would like me to look at your website and give you suggestions, my email is Larrymeyervi@gmail.com
