Hello!
Currently, you can’t disable your calendar on VRBO. We believe that having an up-to-date calendar on your listing presents the best possible experience for travelers, and will ultimately result in more qualified inquiries for you.
One example of this is the "Availability" search on VRBO.com. If your listing doesn’t have a calendar, then when travelers search by availability your listing will not show available dates but instead will have a message to "Contact owner for availability". The same is true if your calendar hasn’t been updated in a long time. Without a calendar, think of the inquiries you’d be missing!
I hope this makes sense. If you still have questions, or would like to discuss further, please reply to let me know.
Best Regards,
Valerie
I just called HomeAway and found out that when you advertise on HomeAway and also on VRBO and have your calendars linked you are also going to have REVIEWS linked. Once linked you are stuck...no way to get rid of this. So if you are being abused by a renter that has written a bad review CAUTION your advertising dollar is going to be distroyed on both listing sites.
I think VRBO is getting a little bossy--why do we need them to think for us?
It's like the Stepford Wives - you WILL participate on the calendar; you WILL post guest reviews...starting to get creepy...
Have to agree. We are evidently just the "Sheep"!
