I had a guest tell me they left a guest review yesterday but I never received an email saying I had a pending review and it doesn't show that I have a pending review in my dashboard of reservation manager. I realize yesterday was a holiday but shouldn't you get a notification immediately that you have a review pending a human, who has working hours, review?
It's usually 3 days from the time a guests submits a review until the time VRBO notifies me. FlipKey notifies me within a couple of hours.
I got my notification 48 hours later
Update: I received notice that a guest posted a review 3 days after she submitted it. It is now another 2 days in the process of being reviewed by VRBO, which means 5 days and counting before the review is visible on my listing.
I had a guest tell me she posted a review. It took 5 days before it showed up, and yes her posting was on the date she said. Then my response took 2 more days to show up, even tho I replied immediately. We did have one holiday inbetween - the 4th.
I had a guest just recently submit a review on June 26 on VacationRentals.com and I didn't receive the notification until July 2! Then it took 3 more days to post to my listing. This seems excessively long to me. On the other hand, I have received reviews and notifications on the same day for the same listing, so I'm not sure what was up with this last one.
It takes 3-5 days for a review to go to the owner after the renter has submitted it. This depends on the # of reviews vrbo/ha is dealing with as they read every single review before sending it to the owner. Sometimes it doesn't ever make it to the owner if vrbo deems it doesn't follow guidelines. If the review is a 4-5 star, it is normally posted within 2 days of receipt by owner. If it's 3 or lower, vrbo/ha gives the owner 7 days to respond and then the review is posted after that 7 days. If by chance the owner says something like: they never stayed at the property, etc., it can be dragged out for weeks.
Just had a guest e-mail me and tell me that she posted a review on both FlipKey and VRBO. I received the FlipKey notice shortly after the e-mail from the guest arrived on Friday. I still haven't heard for VRBO. I'll let you know how long it takes since I know she submitted it on Friday.
I had an email from a guest that submitted a review to vrbo, homeaway and flipkey late last week. I received emails from vrbo and homeawy within 48 hours and have not yet had an email from flipkey. The reviews are pending at vrbo and homeaway.
I'm not concerned. I've operated sucessfully with a handful of reviews for many years. A week, or even two, for a review to be posted doesn't strike me as a problem.
When a guest submits a review, I "believe" that VRBO sends them a verification that it was in deed them that submitted the review. The guest has to reply to this as well, or (to my knowledge) it doesn't get posted.
I could be wrong, but I have been told that several times and I have 40 reviews now. So, I am guessing that they are right....perhaps someone at VRBO/HA can confirm this???
