We found a condo we are VERY interested in renting this summer on VRBO, and I sent an email inquiry about what the rate was as a range was listed on the listing.  I got two different very brief responses from the same email address, differeng by over 1,000$.  Also, there are only 2 reviews listed of the condo on VRBO (favorable ones).  How can I protect myself as I get further into this?  Please help a very nervous first-time renter!  I have read many discussions on the forums, and am feeling very overwhelmed.  Should I try to negotiate for the lower quote? I don't want to offend her, but I also cannot afford the higher quote. Thanks!  Roseann
