Anyone know if I have any legal recourse? After renting for 3 years, my small town small HOA changed the covenants to min 3 months for a rental. That is a problem because I can't sell at these low prices. Where can I advertise for long term lake rentals or can I fight them? Anyone had this experience?

Were you notified that they were considering this change? Did they follow all of the notification rules, quorum rules, etc? That might be a path for recourse.
HOAs are notorious for strong arm tactic, and not always following the letter of the law. Each state has laws that outline their activities. You should contact a good real estate atty. I know it can be an additional cost, but could save you big $$ and headaches in the end.
Good Luck!!!
