I think it's been about an hour now that I've been trying to log in to change one of the pictures on my listing. It looks like everything else works. Would some of you guys try owner login to see if it works for you?
Thanks,
Linda
Same for me. I shot off an email to CS, but haven't heard anything. Definitely a website issue.
I also cannot edit my listing. But I also did not get the recent email about the new pricing structure to take effect on January 5th. Anyone care to explain the new pricing structure, I would be most appreciative.
I currently pay for 16 photos but have told VRBO to remove all but 5 when my subscription expires. My plan was to save some money by adding additional photos month by month since the cost of each photo is prorated.
So now that everyone will have 16 photos, and placement will be determined by this new pricing sturcture, I need to understand how it will work.
Thanks in advance...
PS...perhaps when they sent the recent email re: the new pricing sturcture, they overwhelmed the system and are now dealing with many unhappy owners - just a thought.
I didn't get an email either and would definitely like to know what's going on with the pricing structure. And what do you mean by everyone having 16 photos? Is it VRBO you're talking about or HA?
Thanks,
Linda
OK, I did get the email, found it in my spam box. I didn't read it closely, but it looks like if you already have 16 pictures, the price and subscription level will still be the highest. It looks to me like the only difference is that everyone will have 16 pictures, but your ranking will depend on what subscription level you pay for which SEEMS to be the same as "buying" extra pictures in the past.
Linda
I still have not recieved the email regarding the new pricing structure probably because I have requested to take the 16 photos to 5 when my listing is due to renew. I also do not have auto renew. Can someone please copy and past the email in to a post on this forum?
Thanks...
This is the link for the subscription level information.
Linda
Thanks for posting that.
You guys may want to jump on my post re: Changes coming to VRBO Jan. 5. Lets see if we get some feedback

I called them, and after being on hold for a while, was advised that their server had crashed.
WHAT? Wow. Struck a nerve? ;-)
I just tried to log on as owner- not working for me either. Goodness.
Today was my day to sit and update my listing for the new season. Time is money, and they are costing me, if it's true their servers are down.
I'm thinking they should pay their IT folks a bit more, and the CEO's less. These issues are getting old.
I can imagine that the reason their server is down is because the system is overwhelmed due to this impending change on January 5th. Everyone is probably trying to access the details of their account and trying to edit their listing as well due to changes in rental rates as of January 1st. Too bad...but it is no skin off their (VRBO) back. They simply do not care.
Still down and I am holding back my response to an inquiry.
Try to "copy" the body of the inquiry...and then just "paste" it into your regular email account, i.e. Outlook if you that one...whichever you use.... {just don't try to use the "REPLY" in the VRBO email form}....and you can then answer your inquirer.
Thanks, but I do that as a matter of habit already since I don't like the VRBO form and filtering my inquiries through their system.
My problem is I can't access my calander.
They must be working on it. Mine's OK now, so they'll all probably be back up pretty soon.
Linda
to edit your calendar, try this...use this link and put in your listing number where the 000000 appear. Let me know if it works. Put in as many numbers as it takes to use your listing number.
http://www.homeawayconnect.com/calendar.aspx?propertyid=000000&cid=5
Won't work for me, I suspect it's because I am a VRBO property.
I'm still getting the "can't access" message myself. It says only certain folks can't access.
I've got calendar updates, inquires, etc. I sure hope MY inquiries aren't going to someone who DOES have access. I've been down 2 hours and I've got inquires coming in from other sites ( not HA) ARRRGGGGH!
I also have a VRBO property and it works for me. I do not have to access the calendar via the VRBO website. Make sure you delete the 00000's and put in your property number.
Perhaps they are addressing the log-in problems based on tenure.
Still down for 2.5 hours since I noticed it and if I go with the assumption we all went down about the same time we're talking about 6 hours.
Anyone one know what brokerage firm manages HA's public stocks?
It's on the NYSE I think, so any broker can handle trades. Or are you asking which firm handled the IPO? I don't know that but could probably find out for you.
Linda
Linda,
I guess what I'm looking for is away to notify anyone wanting to purchase stock in HA about the horrible turn it has taken.
That's not insider trading, our forums are public. Any thing you can do to help would help all (except those who bought high).
I'm afraid we small owners are not an important part of the company's economy any more, or at least that seems to be the way the company feels at this point. I don't think that our opinion or whether we stay or go makes any difference in the value of the stock. I would never advise anyone on a stock choice based on our personal experience with the company.
Linda
Sure would be nice if they moderators would notify us when the problem appears to be fixed for EVERYONE!
I for one am getting tired and frustrated checking every 20 minutes or so and batting zero.
3 hours of "Trying Again Soon"
\
It's comforting to know I can add a listing or renew an existing one however.
Keep that cash flow moving!
Still NOT working for me. Does anyone have an update of when it should be functioning again?
Update the customers who pay the bills is a very old fashioned concept indeed.
I sat on my hands for 2 more hours but the only update I have is
"Properties are temporarily not displaying on the Owner Dashboard for some Owners. If you are experiencing this problem, please try again soon. We are working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible."
Well, looks like we're going on six hours of down time now....
Okay.....now I'm a little more confused. Instead of the "temporarily not working" message, I got what can be described as a "mini dashbord" - a picture of my property, the headline banner, but I can't do anything with it...! I hit the "Actions" portion of what is showing to edit my calendar but it just doesn't go anywhere. Am I missing something?
Hi everyone. My apologies for the interruptions today. We have a production problem (obviously) that we're working on which is causing intermittent downtime for some users. It is not tenure or listing related, it's related to overall activity on the system.
We're working on resolving this for you, I will post an update here when we have a resolution, and again my apologies for the inconvenience today.
Thanks

6 hours down-- and still not able to access my page--- incredible from a company that touts itself as the leader of VR rentals. Imagine what will happen to them when the "new" options roll out Thursday , Jan. 5.
It appears that the reason the site is down is because people are upset with the new proposed way of placing listings, not based on the number of phtotos. Also the basic rate went up by $50, so they are probably gettting a lot of negative reponse. The more the system is overwhelmed, the less chance of the system handling the reponse. Verizon recently backed out of their $2 charge for using a credit card to pay the bill, and B of A had to back off of some of their ATM charges. We can hope that a similar thing will happen here.
Geez Steve "intermittent downtime for some users"
How about saying it's not working at all for some users?
The pain however is intermittent.
I'd best not find that my competing rentals (in my area) are getting inquiries and I am not , because of this ineppitude,
9 hours down it seems to be working again, at least for me.
Hi all - as of right now everything is operational, performing normally and should be working as expected.
We will continue to carefully monitor all related systems, and will continue making ongoing improvements to our production environment to prevent future unplanned downtime.
Our apologies for the inconvenience today.
IS anyone else having this problem right now? Ive been trying to edit my property info and Its telling me "
It is working for me. You may want to go directly to your listing and try to do the owner sign on from there. That was a work around for me on a previous time this problem was occurring.
Today is January 31 and I was able to get in earlier today but now I cannot. Since I lost the ability to login I've had 2 inquiries to which I cannot respond. Any updates on this?
Why can't you respond? Don't they have an email address within the inquiry? A phone number?
Linda
copy/past the e-mail address and at least respond via your own e-mail browser. However, I agree - you should be able to respond w/o all the muss and fuss!
Is the issue of VRBO owner login solved?
I just payd 749 € to list my house and I'm not able to log in!
I find this situation really inacceptable. Does anybody has any suggestion? Thanks.
Hi alessandra76,
This thread is about an outage that occurred about a year ago. I see you've also submitted a request to our Customer Support team. A team member will be looking at your issue and contacting you soon. I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you.
Travis
Ok, but how do you log out??
