Lately, there have been many references to reporting problem renters to sites such as Guestchecker, etc.
I am really curious. It would make me, as a property owner, feel a lot better to list a "renter from hell", but unless the client is a "repeat offender" - I really don't see what good this would do...In addition, just as owners are concerned about negative reviews and their effects, wouldn't we want to be very careful about what we report? Does the "BadGuest" have any recourse upon finding out he has been black-balled?
I agree we have to be careful about who we report. I've had some persnickety guests that, while a pain, weren't really bad. I'd only report a real **** who damaged my property or violated our contract with intent.
Guestchecker does offer a way for those who've been listed as bad renters to protest the inclusion of their name. You can find the info on their site.
