Short term rental ban NYC

This is about the new law going into effect NYC May 1 prohibiting any rentals less than one month. This is serious for all Home/Unit owners. This law is one pushed by the hotels in Manhattan and is going on in many other parts of the world. In Manhattan I am looking for ways to comply and have been getting some information. If we set ourselves up as a Vacation Club does this comply? Does anyone have any feedback or can contribute some ideas how to continuing renting in Manhattan. This law does no one any benefit. Tourism will be hurt in an already fragile economy. The rational behind the law as claimed by those sponsoring is for health and safety standards. This could easily be regulated. Some input please. Thank you.
