Cities across the United States have considered, or are considering, regulations of short term rentals that can affect you. This webinar will cover how best to counter unfair regulations, educate stakeholders on changing existing regulations and how to promote fair regulations.


About the speaker:

Matt Curtis

Director, Government Relations, HomeAway, Inc.

Matt has worked as a consultant on a number of local, state and national political campaigns. In 2003 he served as Campaign Manager of the Brewster McCracken for City Council Place 5 campaign, and served as his Aide until 2004. From 2004 to 2006 Curtis has served as Special Assistant to Mayor Will Wynn where he worked on initiatives including national best practices. Later he served as Assistant Director of Business and Community Development at Capital Metro where he worked on government relations issues. Curtis returned to City Hall to serve as Communications Director to Mayor Lee Leffingwell. He managed several initiatives including Economic Development. He represented the City of Austin at the United States Conference of Mayors and the National League of Cities. In July 2011, he joined the Harvard Kennedy School Urban Policy Advisory Board where he worked on national best practices facing American cities.
