Title: Researching the Right Rates for Your Rental

Date: Friday, February 24, 2 pm Central

Speakers: George Volsky and Scott Legat

 

George and Scott will discuss the challenges of setting rates for vacation rental homes, and outline the various ways to do this correctly. The session will address the difference between advertised and “actual” rents and the need to monitor competing homes and adjust rents accordingly.

 

George Volsky is the Strategic Community Manager, PM, and a leading anaylyst of the vacation rental industry with an extensive  background in finance and travel economics as transportation industry analyst and aviation attorney.  He spent years as a vacation rental manager on the Outer Banks of North Carolina and more than 12 years as an independent consultant to vacation rental managers.

Scott Legat, Vice President of Outer Beaches Realty,  manages over 500 homes with Outer Beaches Realty. He is a past president of NCVRMA, and is very active in promoting tourism on the Outer Banks.
