Contacting Owners - How Do You Do It (email, phone, etc.)

Question for other travelers - do you think it's okay to book a vacation rental entirely online, never actually speaking with the owner? I ask because it seems so much faster that way, but as a traveler, I also kind of like to know who I'm dealing with, and if the owner is legitimate. You can tell so much more about a person by speaking with them over the phone, you know? What are other travelers' thoughts on this ... how do you book your rentals?

Amazing Pool in Puerto Aventuras

This vacation rental home in Puerto Aventuras had the most amazing poo.l Not only did it have an infinity edge (so it looked like it dropped right into the Caribbean), but it also had a lap lane. It was perfect for the kids who played in the square portion of the pool all day, while my husband could swim laps undisturbed. I would've never thought of a design like this, but it was pure genius.

I think we found the house on VRBO. I will check in case anyone is interested.

Vacation Rental in Buenos Aires?

Can anyone recommend a vacation rental in Buenos Aires, preferably somewhere in the heart of the city? My price range is between $100 and $200 a night, and my only requirement is that it have great views and an espresso maker.
